Our consultations run by appointments beginning at 9 am each day. The appointment system is designed to minimize waiting times in an effort to reduce the stress to our patients. It greatly assists us in providing a more efficient service and a relaxed atmosphere for your pet if you could please make an appointment prior to attending the surgery.

Should your pet be critically ill such as with tick poisoning or after being hit by a car we will make every effort to attend to you straight away. To assist us please call to inform us that you are on your way to the surgery and the nature of the problem. By doing this we can be prepared for your arrival and deliver the appropriate first aid and emergency care to your pet.

Emergencies will take priority over scheduled appointments and we ask for clients with scheduled appointments to be patient when this occasionally happens.

These centres will provide excellent care to our clients when our surgery is closed. The after hours services are staffed with veterinarians and nurses throughout the night to provide veterinary treatment and any advice that you may require. If your pet is very unwell and needs to be hospitalised the after hours clinics will admit your pet to hospital for care, and then if appropriate, transfer the patient to St Ives Veterinary Surgery the next day so that we can continue their ongoing care.
