Michael Eaton

Veterinarian (BVSc (Hons), PHD, MRCVS)

Michael graduated from Sydney University with 1st Class honours in 1982. He then went to England to work for 2 years before returning home to work on Sydney's Northern Beaches. In 1992 he opened St Ives Veterinary Surgery. Michael is a member of the Australian Veterinary Association and completed a PhD in exercise physiology at Sydney University in 1996. In his free time, Michael enjoys camping and spending time with his family and his Cavalier King Charles Maisi and Tilly a Burmese.


Zane Hsu

(BVSc (Hons), MRCVS)

Zane graduated from Sydney University in 2002 with 1st Class honours and spent his first 3 years working in small animal practices in West Ryde and North Turramurra. In 2006, he headed to the UK and spent the year locuming at various practices in and around London. Returning to Sydney in early 2007, Zane started working at St Ives Veterinary Surgery, Zane has proven to be a great all rounder with  comprehensive medical and surgical skills and his popular with the clients and their pets. Zane has 2 cats, 2 dogs and two beautiful children Leon and Abigail . When not at work, Zane enjoys listening to and playing music and spending time with his family.


Sally Tilley

(BVsc, DipClinVetStud)

Sally graduated from Sydney University in 2000. In 2001 she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Sydney University, Camden working with their specialists. She then moved to the Veterinary Specialist Centre at North Ryde where she worked in the critical care and emergency department. Sally has been with St Ives Veterinary Surgery since 2002 and although she loves consulting, she thrives on the surgical cases. When not in the operating theatre, Sally has her hands full looking after her 2 sons Robert and Caleb, her 2 cats Rocket and Herb and her dog Taylor.


Vanessa Reid

Veterinarian (BVSc (Hons))

Vanessa graduated from Sydney University in 1999 with 1st Class honours and completed additional studies in the USA. Vanessa has been part of the team since 2003 and has a keen interest in pathology and complex medical cases including our increasing geriatric load. She is the proud mother of two beautiful children named Annaliese and Joseph and Mawi, a cheeky Cornish Rex cat. Vanessa regularly sings at her church and enjoys swimming and driving her kids around to sporting activites.


Alison Budge

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Alison works part-time at the surgery and brings a wealth of experience to the practice. She graduated from Sydney University in 1993 and has worked extensively in Sydney, the Blue Mountains and in England.  Alison enjoys working on medical cases and has a particular interest in hormonal diseases. In her space time, she enjoys watching foreign films, travelling and making jewellery.


Laura Stephens

Veterinarian (BVSc BSc(Hons))

Laura graduated from Sydney University in 2006 with 1st Class honours in Molecular Biology and Genetics. Her love for animals and medicine saw her return to university to study Veterinary Science, graduating in 2012. During her study years, Laura worked as a veterinary nurse at a specialist hospital in Crows Nest. In 2013, she joined the St Ives Veterinary Surgery team. When not at work, Laura enjoys playing basketball, running and the beach. Having always owned German Shorthaired Pointers, Laura has a soft spot for big dogs.


Gunilla Mcpherson

Veterinarian (BVSc MVPH MRCVS)

Gunilla graduated from the University of Sydney in 1988 and worked in Albury for several years. In 1992, she moved over to the United Kingdom and stayed for twelve years, working in mixed and large animal practice. In 2004, she returned to Australia and was able to gain experience as a locum in Practices around Australia and New Zealand. Gunilla completed a Masters degree in Veterinary Public Health at the University of Sydney in 2015. She has been working at St Ives Veterinary Surgery since April 2016, on alternate Saturdays and Thursday afternoons. In her spare time, she is a member of the Willoughby/Lane Cove SES and enjoys gardening


Farrah Seeto-Loe

Farrah has been at St Ives Veterinary Surgery since 2000. She has completed her veterinary nursing certificate and has also completed a Certificate in Practice Managment. Farrah enjoys horse riding, cooking and quilt making. She owns Elmo, a Griffon Bruxellois, as well as  Boags, a ginger cat she rescued as a stray. Farrah also has a daughter named Alexa.


Sarah Scheuber

Sarah has been at St Ives Veterinary Surgery since 2001 and has completed her veterinary nursing certificate. You will often see her smiling face at reception. Sarah owns Stewie the rabbit and Waffles and Pancakes, two cats which she also adopted.


Laura Curry

Veterinary Nurse

Laura joined the practice in March 2013 and has completed her Veterinary Nursing Certificate IV in 2014. Laura loves all animals, big and small, and when not at work enjoys playing netball and looking after her 5 year old Welsh Terrier Teddy.


Eloise Norton

Veterinary Nurse

Eloise recently joined the team in October 2013. Eloise completed a Bachelor of Animal Science in 2012 and during this time has had 4 years nursing experience at another Sydney vet practice. Eloise is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and in her free time loves hanging out with Harley her American Staffy X  and Pippin, Reggie and Nimbus, her 3 cats which she also rescued from the pound! Eloise has a love for all animals but in particular Killer Whales. 


Nicole Jeyaraj

Veterinary Nurse

Nicole joined the practice in May 2013. She spent 3 months volunteering in Africa before completing her studies in Veterinary Nursing at the end of 2013. Along with her love of animals, Nicole enjoys cooking and playing soccer. When she is away from the surgery, Nicole is hanging out with her energetic rescue dog Johnny.

Andrew Crosland

Trainee Nurse

Andrew is currently undertaking his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Sydney. When he is not working or studying, Andrew enjoys running, playing cricket, golf and tennis. Andrew also takes care of his 14 year old Blue Tongue Lizard called "Zebra".
