Clinic & Services
As a professional and modern facility designed to provide a positive and happy environment, we always want you and your pets to feel welcome and safe at St Ives Veterinary Hospital.

We stock a range of these calming products over the counter as well as a wide selection of healthcare supplements, high quality pet foods (including prescription diets), parasite control/prevention options, toys, collars, leads and much more.
Our consulting rooms are where our caring vets will take the time to discuss your pet and any concerns or questions you may have, entrance to this space is adjacent to the main hospital entrance and clearly labelled.
The main hospital is where further examinations, diagnostics and surgery are performed, it extends downstairs into a fully equipped space. Nurse consultations are also carried out in the main hospital. Both spaces are serviced by reception teams, and we can direct you to the right space

Our Facilities
Downstairs we have a large fully-equipped hospital.
This includes operating theatres with start-of-the-art anaesthesia, comprehensive monitoring equipment and extensive active warming equipment to provide safe and well-run general anaesthesia and sedations.
We have an imaging room for general digital x-rays and ultrasound.
Our large treatment room also contains pet enclosures so that patients recovering from anaesthesia or sedation, or our critical patients can be monitored continually.
Our laboratory facilities include pathology machines for running in-house blood & urine tests as well as microscopy for further investigations.
For any tests that cannot be run in-house, we work closely with external laboratories and their pathologists to help get answers and treatment plans for your pet as soon as possible.
We have separate dog and cat wards to reduce stress as well as an isolation ward to protect against the spread of infectious diseases
Our nurses offer services such as nail trims, anal gland expression, drawing blood for tests ordered by your vet and some routine injections.
If your pet simply will not tolerate nail trims or shaves at the groomer and this is necessary for their comfort and health, they may require grooming or nail trimming under sedation or general anaesthesia which we can provide after discussing with your vet.
There is a dedicated dental procedure room equipped for oral x-rays, dental cleaning and extractions.
If you are ever in our area with your pet, please feel free to pop in to say hello – our receptionist is always ready with a cuddle and a treat to help your pet realise that coming to the vet can be a happy experience!
